On Thursday, November 19th we went on our first field trip to the Mineral Museum at the University of Arizona. The students were able to explore an asteroid cave, view rare and beautiful mineral specimens, check out the only scale replica of the Martian surface, and watch a presentation on the rock cycle which discussed the formation of rocks, examined different samples of rock types, and explained some of Arizona’s geology. The students had a wonderful experience!
